Ruth MacGill, Oct 14, 2009, 7:13PM EDTHi Wil- I see that you visited Gather today. I hope you are doing better. I miss hearing from you.
I am frustrated. I just wrote a book review about a psychological thriller, Lost by Michael Robotham, and it won't post! It says error on the page and gives information that is gobbledegook to me. Jane got us hooked up to Hughesnet yesterday so maybe that has something to do with it, but I doubt it. I'll just save my book review for later.
Talk to you later. LOL -

Ruth MacGill, Oct 3, 2009, 2:30PM EDTGood Sunday morning Wil,
I was just checking when you last checked in on Gather and when you last typed on your keyboard. Looks like you are able to read posts on Gather but not yet able to type. So I'll just keep chattering.
I just finished a good book called Chill Factor by Sandra Brown. It is a well written story with a good plot about finding a seriel killer in a rural town with lots of wilderness close by. I didn't realize Sandra Brown wrote that well. I had her catagorized with the silly love story authors. The story kept my interest right to the end. You might like it.
I hope you have been able to watch Ken Burns 5 episode series on National Parks. I loved it although it was hard to get used to the way they went from one park to another and back again. They gave an awful lot of time to the Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Yellowstone, but finally got around to the everglades and Smokey Mountains and a lot of National monuments. There was a lot about John Muir. I met relatives of his from Martinez up by San Francisco when I was a docent at Campo's Stone Store Museum.
Don't give up the fight to get back your strengrth - But I don't have to tell YOU that. You are already a gutsy lady! -
Ruth MacGill, Oct 3, 2009, 3:55AM EDTGood morning, Wil, -
Just want to check in with you before I turn in. It is almost 1 a.m. here and I have been writing up a storm all day while Jane was away. Have to make up for all the days I can't use the line.
I hope you are feeling better and have someone to help you and do your errands while you are recuperating. Since I have definitely given up driving I have to rely on Jane for all my errands. I hate to take up her time but if I didn't keep myself well supplied with library books I'd go mad.
I just made Gather friends with Dexter S from Texas and find his articles interesting. He asks his readers to answer questions or tell about their experiences with differtnt things. It makes him many points and the responses are interesting. -
